"Flingern Plaza" is a development concept for the creation of the new district center in the municipal area Flingern in Dusseldorf. The planing concept envisages the organization of space in the form of a multifunctional market place, which can be used as a market on weekends and holidays, and as a communications center for the inhabitants of this district. The main entrance to the marketplace is defined by a „gate“ in the office and shopping center with two-sided canopy. The building is located on the main road and symbolizes the new district center „Flingern Plaza“.On the ground floor are cafes and a restaurant that can expand their capacity in the summer through the adjacent market place area. In the west, on the other side of the square, near the Fountain Park complex is a youth education center with a playground nearby.In the east, the square space is closed by apartments for young families and flats with a central service.The apartments, as well as the flats are turned with its generous, sunny terraces to the garden.The energy concept provides for the use of renewable energy, particularly geothermal and solar energy before.For visitors and inhabitants of „Flingern Plaza“ are provided three separate underground garages.
